Environmental Certification

TST contracts to provide a range of commercial cleaning services throughout NSW. Services are centred on contract cleaning in accordance with client contract agreements. It is the responsibility of the company and staff to ensure the safety of all employees, clients and visitors and the general public at our workplaces and to carry out these tasks without damage to the environment.


It is recognised that every employee (or service provider) regardless of status or position has both an individual and co-operative responsibility to be uncompromising with respect to safety, health and environmental concerns. Risk management is incorporated as an integral part of all business initiatives and operations, ensuring all hazards are identified, assessed, controlled and modified as necessary to maintain safe working activities. TST’s full OHS responsibilities and actions are detailed in our OHS Management Plan and Environmental Management Plan.

TST is committed to:

  1. the implementation and maintenance of an OHS Management System to that required by AS/NZS 4801:2001standard (Safety Cert)
  2. the implementation and maintenance of and Environmental Management System to that required by AS/NZS 14001:2004 standard (Enviro Cert)
  3. comply to all legislative and regulatory obligations as a minimum and pursue best practice applications beyond these requirements
  4. provide the necessary training for all staff and subcontractors to safely carry out their jobs
  5. consult with staff, on a regular basis, to identify and control risks
  6. maintain plant and equipment in a safe operating condition
  7. isolate defective or dangerous equipment until fixed or replaced
  8. set and monitor OHS and environmental improvement objectives and targets as part of our business system
  9. review this policy to continue assessing legislative and regulatory requirements and organisational needs for continual improvement

Managers and Supervisors:

  1. comply with policies and procedures and ensure employees work in a safe manner
  2. ensure employees have appropriate personal protective equipment and use it when working
  3. participate in reviews and improvements of workplace safety and conduct risk assessments
  4. report any incidents and implement appropriate initial response
  5. communicate clearly to staff all workplace safety and environmental objectives
  6. be responsible for initial and follow up communication to clients on all safety and environmental issues

All employees are required to:

  1. adhere to all relevant laws and regulations
  2. comply with the TST policies and procedures and ensure a workplace free from the influence of non-prescribed drugs and alcohol
  3. participate in workplace risk assessment through consultation, induction and training
  4. advise supervisors of situations where revised or greater risk control measures are required

With staff cooperation we look after each other and provide a safe and clean workplace for all.
